BINGO SUCCESS - The organisers of the Christmas bingo held at the hall would like to thank everyone involved in supporting a tremendously successful evening which raised more than £300 towards the hall funds. Bingo players came from far and wide for a most enjoyable, fun evening with plenty of prizes. Another one is being planned so keep your eyes peeled for news of this one.

INDOOR CAR BOOT - An indoor car boot is being held at the village hall on January 28 from 1pm to 4pm. Call Ian on 01981 251613 to book a table or just come along and grab a bargain.

BODYMOVES - Exercise to music on Tuesdays for toning, fat-burning and fun. A new six-week course runs at Madley Village Hall, 2pm to 3pm. Suitable for all ages and abilities. For further information, contact Caroline 01981 241199 or caroline@ bodymoves.plus.com PARISH COUNCIL - The last meeting was held on January 3 in the parish hall. Items that were discussed included repairs to the church clock, an update on the communityled plan, the council tax precept for 2012/13, new equipment requirements with regard to changes in the planning system and highway matters. The next meeting will take place on February 7 at 7.15pm in the parish hall. The next community-led plan meeting will take place on January 25 at 6pm in the parish hall. All are welcome to both.
