  brief history of saving churches. Churches in the care of the friends include Llancillo, Urishay, Llanfair Kilgeddin and Llanelieu near Talgarth). Membership costs £10, and visitors are welcome for
  a donation of £3.

           <description><![CDATA[<p>
  FESTIVAL - The festival of praise held on July 3, in the grounds of Longtown primary school was a real success.The singing was led by the Salvation Army band
  who took up their position in the school's bandstand. The event was led by Rev Dennis Monger with prayers led by Rev Nicholas Lowton. The Clodock choir and a group of children from the school also
  performed. The large gathering enjoyed the occasion and thanks go to the headteacher, Mrs McGrath, parents and children who served a sumptuous tea provided by many. The collection was shared
  between the band, the school and St Michael's Hospice.

  followed by Janet and Mark Robinson speaking on The Port of Hereford. In the pre-railway age, the Wye was the only practical way to carry goods to and from Hereford and much of the surrounding
  district. The talk will discuss the nature of this trade, and how, for a brief time, the name of Hereford appeared in the columns of Lloyds’ Registers.

  Over the past nine years the garden has raised in excess of £7,500 for various cancer charities. Come along and make the tenth year a memorable one.
