FESTIVAL - The festival of praise held on July 3, in the grounds of Longtown primary school was a real success. The singing was led by the Salvation Army band who took up their position in the school's bandstand. The event was led by Rev Dennis Monger with prayers led by Rev Nicholas Lowton. The Clodock choir and a group of children from the school also performed. The large gathering enjoyed the occasion and thanks go to the headteacher, Mrs McGrath, parents and children who served a sumptuous tea provided by many. The collection was shared between the band, the school and St Michael's Hospice.
