HARVEST FESTIVAL - Harvest festival at Llanveynoe will take place on Sunday at 6.30pm. The preacher will be Rev Ian Charlesworth, rural officer for the Diocese of Swansea and Brecon.

PARISH PLAN - Herefordshire Council has offered a grant for the compilation of a Parish Plan for Michaelchurch, St Margaret’s Newton, Turnastone and Vowchurch. You are invited to come to Escleyside Hall on Saturday from 2.30pm- 5.30pm and define why you like living in these areas and also which issues you would like to see improved. Refreshments will be provided and members of the steering group will be there to help if necessary.

PRAYER MEETING - A Taize prayer meeting will take place at 8pm on October 4, at the Bryn Barn, Longtown.

A Taize meeting lasts about 40 minutes and provides everyone with an opportunity to pray and enjoy periods of quiet contemplation and thought. For more information visit taize.fr.

NEW HEADTEACHER - Longtown Community Primary School has welcomed new headteacher Mrs McGrath.

The school also has a wonderful new extension providing new office space, a new staffroom and a community room.
