WHIST DRIVE - Took place recently in Llanbister community hall with Gwyn Morgan as MC. Winners were ladies Pam Pritchard, Edith Conway and Sue Sutton. Gents Elwyn Evans, Reg Bowen, and Kath Hardwick. Miniature 1st Sue Farmer and Reg Bowen, 2nd Alwyn Davies and John Livsey. Raffle winners were Shirley Evans, Gwen Farmer, Janice Davies, Gwyn Morgan, Iona Layton and Sue Sutton. Pat Allen proposed a vote of thanks to everyone for their support, all who gave prizes and served refreshments. Proceeds will go to Llanbister churchyard funds.

JUMPERS AND TEDDIES - A large quantity of knitted jumpers and teddies have been sent recently from Llanbister Mothers Union to Romania.

COMMUNITY HALL - There will be a local railway history, slideshow and talk at Llangunllo community hall on Wednesday starting at 7.30pm. Admission £2.50 on door
