DANCING FOR FUN - Whatever your age, physical and mental exercise is important for wellbeing and dancing is a fun, social way to keep fit. For those who enjoy modern ballroom or old time dancing, or for new starters, dances are held on the first and third Thursday of each month, 8pm-10.15pm, at Little Hereford village hall. CONTEST - A gin competition is being hosted in the village. It will provide a chance for people to pit their homemade fruit gin against their neighbours’. The event is at the Temeside Inn on December 7, with proceeds going to the Midlands Air Ambulance.

MARKET - The final craft, good cause and flea market before the summer break takes place at Little Hereford Village Hall on Sunday from 10.30am to 3.30pm. The hall is fully booked with more than 20 stalls selling everything from art and antiques through to woollen items and Wedgwood calendar wall plates. Pick up a bargain and some baking or preserves to take home before enjoying a freshly made snack in the cafe where prices start at 50p. Admission is free from 10.30am.

MARKET - Little Hereford Village Hall will be overflowing with over 20 stalls at the Valentine’s craft, good cause and flea market on Sunday from 10.30am to 3.30pm. Half are crafts and the rest flea and good cause stalls this month selling antiques, art, baking, brica- brac, cards, cosmetics, dried floral arrangements, jewellery, health products, handbags, knitted items, a tombola and Valentine gifts. Good food will be on sale all day including light lunches of sparkling nonalcoholic drink, savoury snack and pudding for £3. The doors open at 10.30am and admission is free.

VILLAGE HALL - If you are looking for something to do after Christmas, there will be a range of flea, good cause and craft stalls selling everything from giant fans to Rhayader pottery, from Burn’s Night outfits to homespun woollen blankets, and from warm scones to seasonal jams and pickles at Little Hereford Village Hall on Sunday, starting at 10.30am. Good food will be served throughout the day with prices from 50p for cakes to £1.50 for a light lunch. Entrance is 50p giving 50p off the first tea or coffee but tea will be free at 3pm. A few £7 stalls remain.
