ANGELINA’S SWEET SHOP - To celebrate her first year Angela Morris, who runs Angelina’s sweet shop in High street, Knighton, will be raising money for Children in Need.
Tomorrow, Friday, the shop will be open from 9 till 5 and refreshments will be available.
MACMILLAN CHRISTMAS FAIR - The annual Macmillan Christmas Fayre will take place at 2.30pm in the church hall, Knighton on Saturday. Father Christmas will be making his first visit to the town and will bring small gifts for the children. There will also be a white elephant stall, cakes for sale, raffle, tombola and refreshments available.
Admission 20p.
BINGO - The Knighton under-fives annual Christmas bingo is on November 25, at Knighton Community Centre, doors open 6.30pm, eyes down 7pm. As usual there will be lots of great prizes to be won.
CHURCH SERVICES FOR SUNDAY - Knighton Baptist Church 11am including communion led by Revd Maggie Rich. Knighton Methodist Church 11am led by Revd Derek Long.
Knighton Catholic Church 11am celebration of Holy Mass. St Edward’s Church, Knighton 9.30am morning worship led by John Clements. St David’s Church, Whitton 9.30am Holy Communion led by Revd Gordon Mansfield. St Andrew’s Church, Norton 11am Holy Communion led by Cannon John Greaves.
WHITTON - There will be a puddings, poems and punch evening at Whitton Community Centre on November 26, starting at 7pm.

FASHION SHOW - There will be a fashion show by Eileen Calverley of Top to Toe in Knighton on Saturday, at Whtton Community Centre to raise money for Whitton's Diamond Jubilee celebrations on June 2nd, 2012.

ANNUAL FUND-RAISER - The annual Knighton Catholic Church coffee morning held in the church hall was a great success raising over £300 for the church. At the event there were lots of items for sale including cakes, cards and gifts. Father Morty thanked everyone who helped on the day and came along to support them.
VARIETY SHOW FOR PARENTS - Presteigne Brownies and Rainbows put on a variety show based on an African theme for their parents and other relatives. For the show they dressed up in costumes from around the world, sang songs and did a shadow puppet show. Both the brownies and rainbows are looking for new members. Children do not have to be from Presteigne area. The sessions are on Tuesday evening, Rainbows from 4.15pm till 5.15pm and Brownies from 5.30pm till 7pm. Ring 01547 520434 for further details.
