KNIGHTON Show and Carnival president Mal Price raised £1,221.75 during the final night of her term of office.
She put on a glitz and glamour president’s night at Knighton Community Centre. The event attracted about 190 people. She also donated £150 to the Haiti Disaster Fund which came from donations from those playing the nip and tuck game.
The evening started with a threecourse meal followed with dancing till late to live band Cartesian.
After the meal, Glyn Owens auctioned off the large floral display raising £50.
