KNIGHTON and District Rotary Club held its 1960s night at the Baron of Beef, Bucknell, and raised more than £300 for Megan Baker House near Leominster – a charity providing free conductive education services to children and teenagers with motor disabilities such as cerebral palsy, head injury, stroke, dyspraxia and adults with Parkinson’s disease – Powys Young Carers, who are children and young people up to the age of 16 who have caring responsibilities for someone who has a physical or mental illness, a physical or learning disability or a drug or alcohol problem, and other local charities.

Cathy Jones, Rotary president, said: “Everyone had a fantastic evening and the band Late in the Day were great.”

Cathy thanked everyone for their generosity and support on the evening.
