FOOD AND CRAFT MARKET – This is back at the community centre this Saturday with stalls selling handmade chocolates and fudge, cards and framed pictures featuring local photographs, and the fresh fish and seafood stall which attracted so much interest at the last market. The market cafe will have live music from popular local accordionist Ray Griffiths. The market will run from 9.30am to 12.30pm.

BADMINTON CLUB – The club held an Easter badminton competition for its younger members. Justin Sharp won the competition and Rosie Emerson was second. Other finalists were Josh and Shane Blythe, Payton Banks and Ollie Hoare.

OPEN GARDENS - Leominster Open Gardens will be held again this year over the weekend of June 8 and 9. This is a fund-raising event for Leominster Priory and has been successfully held biannually since 2001. Organisers are now looking for gardeners to consider opening their gardens over this weekend.

FOOD AND CRAFTS - The first food and craft market of 2013 will take place at Knighton Community Centre on Saturday, snow and ice permitting. As well as the usual mix of stalls and a cafe in the hall, there will also be a talk and presentation on the Green Deal for funding environmentally friendly home improvements. This will take place in the adjoining bar lounge, starting at 10.30am and both this event and the market will run until 1pm.

KNIGHTON TOWN SILVER BAND - On the very wet morning of Christmas Eve, 16 members of the band braved the elements to play carols around the town. Thanks go to all its faithful supporters. Members collected £96.57 in donations for band funds.
