Don't miss Christmas Concert at Kington Bowling Club

CONCERT DATE FOR YOUR DIARY - Kington Bowling Club will be presenting a Christmas Concert with Voices of Unity Choir, Rhayader, on Saturday, December 10, at 7pm in St Mary’s Church, Kington. The conductor will be Christine Humphreys, accompanist John Humphreys, soloist Emma Powell (mezzo soprano). Tickets £5 from club members or on the door. 01544 231091.

KINGTON AND DISTRICT HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY - Today (Thursday) at 7.30pm, doors open at 7pm, in the Masonic Hall, Headbrook, Kington. The speaker is Phillip Aubrey on Successful Fruit Growing - grow your own five a day.

KINGTON U3A - The next social meeting for Kington U3A will be on December 8 at 2pm at Kington Football Club. This meeting will be a very social gathering with some jolly turns, refreshments and Kington Primary School singing. All are welcome to discover new groups and just to have a pleasant afternoon.

MACMILLAN CANCER SUPPORT - At the Autumn Fair held on November 7 by the Kington and District Committee, the magnificent sum of £5,645 was raised. A sincere thank you from a very grateful committee to everyone who gave prizes, donations or helped and supported on the evening. Also a further donation of £400 was presented to Macillan by committee member Becky Haydon, the result of the Batik Exhibition she held at Titley Village Hall in October for three different charities.
