CRICKET CLUB - The club presents Bands on The Rec on Saturday, when there will be two bands playing in a marquee on the Rec – Point Zero and Deep Sea Circus. Barbecue and bar, 8pm, £3 entry. Come and enjoy the music.

BOKWA - The Lady Hawkins Community Leisure Centre will be offering Bokwa, the latest fitness craze to hit the UK. Classes for ages five to 11 years and 12-16 years. Other classes available include: spinning, 20/20/20, losea- cise and circuits. KINGTON LADIES HOCKEY CLUB CAR WASH – Hockey girls from Kington will be making a splash this weekend at a car wash event in a bid to raise funds for the club. The car wash will take place at the Co-Op car park on Saturday from 10am-2pm.

CRICKET CLUB – Outdoor nets have started and will run each Wednesday at 6pm by the leisure centre. Old and new members are welcome. The club is running three teams this year in the Marches. Practical employability skills, starting April 2, 1pm- 4pm for 10 weeks; introduction to digital images, April 9, 10am-noon for five weeks; computers for the terrified, April 18, 2pm-4pm for five weeks; next steps to internet and email, May 2, 10am-noon for five weeks; introduction to internet and email, May 23, 2pm-4 pm for five weeks; introduction to publisher, April 10, 10am-noon for five weeks. KINGTON HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY - The next meeting is March 21 in the Masonic Hall, Headbrook, Kington (just before the garage). The speaker is Leila Jackson from T3 nursery, Leominster, speaking on salvias and abutilons. The meeting will start at 7.15pm with the AGM, followed at about 8.50pm by the speaker.

Discuss fitness goals, weight loss and exercise in a fun and friendly class with qualified instructors. Also available on Mondays: introduction to spinning, 9.15am- 10am; circuit training 7pm-8pm. Tuesdays: 20/20/20, 6.30pm-7.30pm; karate 6pm-8pm.
