COME AND SING MESSIAH - There will be a Kington Choral Society fundraiser on behalf of St Michael’s Hospice on Saturday at St Mary’s Church. Singers of all ages, ability and experience are invited to form a large scratch choir with Kington Choral to sing choruses from Handel’s Messiah under conductor Maureen Twiddy and organists Paul Wardell and James Roberts. Doors open 5pm, rehearsal starts 5.30pm with a 7.15pm bring-andshare refreshment break and 8.15pm sing-through. Bring your own score or hire for the evening (£2) at the door.

Members will welcome the return of Richard Jordan (who gave us talks on Route 66 and the London Blitz last year ) who this time will be telling us that Ol’ Blue Eyes is Back, with 250 photographs and non-stop songs recalling Frank Sinatra. BOXING TOURNAMENT - Kington Lions Club has arranged, as a new fund-raising initiative, a grand charity dinner and amateur boxing tournament with the assistance of Ledbury Amateur Boxing Club. It will be on March 11, at Burgoynes in Lyonshall.
