CHARITY AWARENESS - An evening organised between Luctonians Sports Cluband a local men’s singing group raised £500 for prostate cancer. The evening sold out well in advance with those attending treated to a posh bangers and mash meal followed by entertainment from Hobson’s Choice, a local sea shanty troop. The club is currently running an awareness campaign as forwards coach Andy Douthwaite wants to help other men in a similar position to him. John Amos from Hobsons Choice said: “We were delighted to help raise money for such an important campaign. The group members give up their time freely to help support local charities and obviously being a men’s group, felt this was an important cause to be involved with.”
