PUPILS at John Beddoes School in Knighton, led by their director Ginette Bennett produced a spectacular version of Oliver! The cast played their parts with great skill and enthusiasm with fantastic costumes and set. The Ivor Hughes Centre in the school was packed for the three nights. The main part of Oliver was played by Menna Breeze, Sophie Lloyd was Widow Corney and Jacob Hemming was Mr Bumble. Kelly-Ann Davies played the Dodger and one of the audience’s favourite characters was Fagin played by Will Collins. Katy Cogswell showed everyone she has a very strong voice singing her songs beautifully with a perfect cockney accent. Dean Hadfield as Bill Sykes came across as a very scary character.
