FETE - For the 56th year, the sun once again shone on the Huntington Fete.
The field next to Huntington Court, home of 95-year-old Mrs Dorothy Jack, was full of cars within half an hour, as hundreds of people made their way to this traditional event, with its many stalls, sideshows, old-fashioned skittles, quoits, guessing the weight of the wool of the Alpacas to fruit cake and guessing how many balloons were packed into a Mini. Mrs Gwen Pattison, the chairman said: “We raised almost £3,000 for the Huntington churches and local Kington charities which, considering the entrance is free and the stalls very cheap, is testament to the superb village and community spirit the people of Huntington have.”
