Hereford volunteers needed, exercise to music, crafts at All Saints, donation to firefighters

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED - Hereford Contact Centre is looking for a part-time volunteer co-ordinator to manage the administration of the centre which provides a safe, friendly, neutral environment for children of separated families to spend time with one or both parents and sometimes other family members.

Full training will be provided. The centre is open on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month. Volunteers are also needed to help support contact on occasional Saturdays. An information evening will be held next Thursday, January 19, from 5.30pm at Riverside Community Centre, 26 Vicarage Road. For further information, call Karina Baldwin on 07731 977912.

EXERCISE TO MUSIC - Bodymoves exercise to music is every Monday, 7.30pm-8.30pm at Our Lady’s Hall, Belmont Road, £4 per session.

Suitable for all ages and abilities.

Senior Bodymoves is on Tuesdays, same venue, 10am-11am, with gentle toning exercise and no floor work, £3.50. For further information, contact Caroline on 01981 241199 or caroline@bodymoves.plus.com.

CRAFTS AT ALL SAINTS - Golden Valley Craft Society starts the year in All Saints’ Church on Monday until Saturday, January 21. All items on display are handmade by local craftsmen and women and are reasonably priced.

DONATION - A Hereford woman told friends and family to mark her 80th birthday by donating money to county firefighters instead of giving her gifts. Joan O’Neill said the idea came from speaking to firefighters collecting at the Sainsbury’s store in Whitecross. More than 50 people attended the Richmond Club party collecting around £320 for The Firefighters’ Charity.
