U3A to hold meeting at Summerhill Golf Club

FASHION SHOW - held at the Swan, Hay-on - Wye on November 3.

The Cheese Market fund-raising group held its second fashion show. All the clothes shops in Hay were represented displaying the enormous array of products available in the town from children’s clothes through to teens and adults. The models showed outfits ranging from sportswear, leisure wear through to evening wear and even a bridal dress. The event raised a further £940 for the renovation of the cheese market.

U3A - Moby Dick.

The next meeting of U3A Hay takes place at Summerhill Golf Club, Hay-on-Wye, on Tuesday, starting at 10.30am for the morning session and at 1.30pm for the afternoon session.

This will be the last meeting of the year.

For the morning session Richard Greatrex, Cinematographer, will discuss the making of the film Moby Dick, made in 2010, and starring William Hurt as Captain Ahab, and will show excerpts of this exciting production.

The event will extend into the afternoon session so be prepared to stay for a light lunch at the Golf Club.
