Hay-on-Wye AMBASSADOR - A student has been chosen as one of three new ‘gold young ambassadors’ for Powys ahead of the 2012 Olympics and Paralympics. Gwernyfed High School pupil Rhiannon Howells is tasked with encouraging classmates to take part in sporting activities in the run up to the big event next year. She has already sent two fellow Gwernyfed pupils, who are also silver ambassadors, to a special training day in Llandrindod Wells as part of a scheme created by the Young Ambassador Movement.
