ELGAR IN HEREFORD GROUP - Brian Draper gives an illustrated talk on the River Wye from source to Mordiford on October 1, 7.30pm, at The Bunch of Carrots. Tickets are £5 (limited) from Wendy Hill on 01531 634333. Brian is a good authority on ‘Elgar’s favourite river’. He spent his working life on the rivers of this area, and includes history, nature, folklore, and some excellent views.
