YEAR three pupils at Gladestry Church in Wales Primary School put their heads together for a money raising idea to support the people of Haiti following the recent earthquake.
The seven and eight-year-olds hit upon the idea of attending school one day, wearing hats and bringing a donation.
Having learned about alliteration, the youngsters wanted a catchy title for their project, so Hats for Haiti was chosen.
They also organized a bring-and-buy sale held one day after school and open to family, friends and people in the village.
