SHAPING OUR PLACE 2026 - A large number of parishoners attended a meeting to express their opinions to Herefordshire Councillor John Jarvis about the proposal for 100 new homes and the development/alteration of the parish and its boundaries over the next 15 years. For those unable to attend the meeting and wishing to express their opinion, questionnaires will be available in the village shop for a limited time, to be submitted by the extended deadline of March 26, as long as ‘Ewyas Harold’ is cleared marked on the outside of the return envelope.

LENT STUDY AND LUNCH - The third of these meetings entitled Encounters with Jesus will take place in the Baptist Hall today (Thursday) starting at noon, with a soup lunch served at 1pm.

TIME OUT FOR WOMEN - This is a ladies’ lunch held once a month in the Baptist Hall from 12.15pm to 1.30pm, after Koffi Pot which starts at 10am.

Tomorrow (Friday), the speakers will be Helen Williams and Sian Cooke.

TAIZE PRAYER - Two of these special meetings have been held in the area over recent months and the third will be held in the Memorial Hall tomorrow (Friday) 7pm to 8pm. It is open to everyone who cares to come along and includes chanting, icons, candles and silence. If you like please bring a cushion or prayer stool.

COFFEE MORNING - On Saturday at the Baptist Hall there will be homemade cakes, preserves, jigsaws, and books for sale in aid of the Baptist Home Mission.

HAITI EARTHQUAKE - A spring sale has been organised in aid of the charity on Saturday, in the Memorial Hall, 10am to 2pm. Please bring good quality items to sell, and buy a bargain.

Sellers may donate all or 50 per cent of their profit or buyers can donate at the door. Refreshments will be served. For further information, contact Sian Murcott on 01981 240933.

WALKING GROUP - The next walk takes place on Monday at 10am around the Walterstone area.

WEA - On Tuesday at 7.30pm in the Baptist Hall, Steven Desmond will give a lecture on The Evolution of the Herbaceous Border.

HISTORY AND ARCHAEOLOGY GROUP - There will be a landscape walk on March 28, starting in the recreation ground at 2pm, to look at the walkmill, lime kilns and fulling mill and finishing with tea at Dulas Court about 4pm. All are welcome to explore the fascinating history of our village.
