BUS - Fownhope’s bus service to Ross-on- Wye will be restored after a gap of seven years when the new 458 service starts on Thursday, March 8. Dormington and Mordiford Parish Council has agreed to provide a third of the funding, with Fownhope Parish Council contributing the remainder.

George Young will run the service and have set the fare at £3.70 return. It will be free to those with concessionary bus passes. The bus will run on the second Thursday of each month. The service will start from Sufton Rise at 9.30am calling at Mordiford, Lucksall, Scotch Firs, Church Croft, Nover Wood Drive, Court Orchard and the church crossroads to run by Oldway and the main road through How Caple to Ross. It will call at Labels Outlet Shopping on request before reaching the bus stands opposite Ross library in Cantilupe Road at 10.05am. The bus returns from bus stand number four on Cantilupe Road at 12.35pm on the same route and reaches Fownhope by 1.01pm and Sufton Rise for 1.10pm.
