Ewyas Harold youth band, primary school, jubilee and choral evensong

YOUTH BAND - The band will lead the 10.30am worship at the Baptist Chapel on Sunday. There will be also be a Sunday Club for ages three to six and seven-14.

PRIMARY SCHOOL - Pupils a lovely day in Raglan watching the Olympic Torch pass through the town thanks to an invitation from the local primary school. Thanks go to parents and friends who contributed fabric and time to make bunting for the jubilee celebrations.

Adam Williams will be William and Hannah Rusling will be Kate in the jubilee parade. Designs by Ben Winney and Ryan Gardner were chosen for the front cover of the programme. Preparations are in hand for the school float but more paint, materials and extra help are always appreciated.

JUBILEE - The aim of June 4 is to have a fun day and raise money for a community bus.

The festivities will start with a parade from the Memorial Hall at noon, through the village to the recreation ground where the fun will include a tug-of-war, strongman competition, five-a-side football, paintball, bouncy castles and lots more.

CHORAL EVENSONG - In Dore Abbey on Wednesday at 4pm in honour of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
