PRIMARY SCHOOL - Class D has taken the lead in promoting positive behaviours across the school day particularly during playtime.

Children from years two and three were super representatives of the school at the Target Sports Festival at Kingstone. Year six is going to the Courtyard to watch a performance of Fame by Kingstone High School.

The school governors are keen to see that all children have the opportunity to learn to play a musical instrument and there is a bursary available to support music tuition. There will be a PTFA meeting in school is tonight at 7.30pm to which all parents are welcome.

PANTO - Thanks go to everyone on and off stage also the wonderful audiences who supported the Kilpeck pantomime, and those who provided refreshments and raffle prizes.

All helped to make it such a success and profits from the performances will be donated to the village hall and other local charities.

The annual meeting will be held tonight (Thursday) at 8pm in Kilpeck Hall. Come along if you would like to get involved with the next production.

TRAIDCRAFT - Get all sorts of goods from ginger biscuits to toilet rolls, coffee to sweets at Koffi Pot tomorrow (Friday), 10am to noon in the Baptist Hall.

WALKERS - Walking for Health continues every Friday meeting outside the fish and chip shop at 10am for short gentle walks around the village. There is nothing to pay and no great level of fitness required though sensible walking shoes are advised. For more serious walkers, there will be a walk of four to five miles from Monmouth to Rockfield next Tuesday.

BAND - After the first practice of the year the Youth Band will help to lead Sunday worship at the Baptist Chapel this weekend.

TOTS GROUP - During term time toddlers, babies, mums, dads, or carers are warmly invited to come along to St Michael’s Hall, 9.30am-11.30am, to share toys, books, crafts and a cup of tea at £1.50 per session.

IGNITE - This Christian group of younger teens will meet on Tuesday, 7pm-8.30pm in the Manse for a time of fellowship together.

BADMINTON - Get fit with a friendly, relaxed group, 2pm-4pm at the Memorial Hallevery Tuesday, September to April. All abilities are welcome for £2.50 per afternoon. Contact 01981 240710.
