Ewyas Harold primary school, carol singing, Christmas cards, carol services, WEA and community larder

PRIMARY SCHOOL - We are looking forward to the end of term this week with lots of parties, drama and Christmas activities. If you feel you are missing out on the fun why not come and join us for our carol service in St Michaels Church today (Thursday) at 2pm.

CAROL SINGING - In and around Kilpeck village today (Thursday), meeting at the pub at 6.30pm, for more information contact www.kilpeckvillagenews.co.uk.

CHRISTMAS CARDS - There will be the opportunity to place a greeting card to your church friends on the BMS notice board this Christmas and to give a donation to Hope Home in Thailand. Judy, who is the link there, has kept us well informed about those lchildren and sent photographs of them throughout the year so she will be pleased to receive a gift from us as she always appreciates our support. We are also collecting used postage stamps which can be handed into the Baptist Chapel.

CAROL SERVICES - On Sunday in our Benefice we start with Llangua at 8.45am, St Michaels Ewyas Harold at 10am followed by coffee and mince pies, Kilpeck Christingle is at 3pm, Dulas Court carols at 4.15pm and ending up with carols at 6pm Kentchurch.

VILLAGE CAROLS - Every year Churches Together organise open air carol singing in the centre of Ewyas Harold and this year it will be on Tuesday, starting at 6.30pm. It is quite a unique experience when with enough people attending we manage to stop the traffic but allow a special visitor through in his motor powered sleigh. Mulled wine and hot sausage rolls help to keep the adults singing.

WEA - Dr Ellie Parker continues her lecture series on The Theatre, on Tuesday, 7.30pm in the Baptist Hall.

COMMUNITY LARDER - The Churches in Herefordshire Action Team Community Larders project provides food to individuals and families in need. Please donate non-perishable food eg tins of meat, fish vegetables, rice pudding and fruit. These can be left in St Michaels Church Ewyas Harold or contact j.boys@hereford.anglican.org.
