JUBILEE - As the date draws near, the loan of memorabilia relevant to the Queen’s 60-year reign would be greatly appreciated. Please contact Ev Hatcher on 01544 327333. On June 4 there will be a village party on the Millennium Green, starting at 1pm. There will be a fancy dress competition for children, face painting, races, a treasure hunt and competitions. Guests are invited to bring a plate of food to share at the big tea party.
Soft drinks and tea will be provided and there will be a licensed bar. To commemorate this auspicious occasion a tree will be planted. The junior choir and the theatre club will provide entertainment. To round off this very special day there will be a barbecue in the evening. Anyone who could lend gazebos and tables is asked to contact the Jubilee team.
ROYAL BRITISH LEGION - The annual coffee morning and plant sale, organised by the Eardisley branch, takes place in the village hall on May 19, starting at 10.30am.
