ROYAL BRITISH LEGION - The monthly meeting of the RBL is today (Thursday) at the New Strand, 8pm. On May 19, Eardisley branch has its annual coffee morning, cake and plant sale in the village hall at 10.30am.

METHODIST CHURCH - The 11am services will be conducted by Rev Roy Crew this Sunday, with Holy Communion, Andrew Sheppick on May 13, Rev J Chesworth on May 20 and Rev Waldegrave on May 27.

COUNCIL - The annual meeting of the group parish council is in the village hall on May 14, starting at 7pm. The joint bid with Eardisley Village Hall to Herefordshire Council for a Community Technology Grant succeeded, as a result of which the hall will now have a laptop and projector for use within the hall.

HISTORY - The results of a project undertaken by Duncan James on the Origins of Eardisley have been collated and a summary of the work will be presented by him in an illustrated talk in the village hall at 7.30pm, on May 16. Admission is free.

SHOP - The village hall committee will be manning the Community Shop in Kington High Street until 1pm tomorrow (Friday).
