Eardisland bowls

BOWLS - Eardisland Bowling Club played its first friendly of the season last Thursday and went down narrowly at St Martins, 63 shots to 66. The visitors were always in contention on a superb surface with the weather holding fine throughout. Eardisland had two winning rinks, skip Phil Sharp, with Joan Stokes, Robin Adams and Phil Powell, winning 22-14 and Jonathan Farndon skipping Wendy Powell, Mavis Tantrum and Jayne Sharp.

COUNCIL - The annual meeting of the parish council is on Wednesday at 7.30pm in the village hall.
