BOWLS - Eardisland bowling club narrowly defeated Presteigne in the last home match of the season by 83 shots to 76. The rink wins were shared, with Phil Sharp skipping the best rink of Robin Adams, Doug Tantrum and Phil Lynne, winning 27 shots to 12, whilst the other victory was recorded by Tony Stokes. The club travelled to Llandrindod Wells on Thursday night for a prestigious floodlit match, but suffered a heavy defeat against a very strong home side, losing on all five rinks. Best performance came from Tony Stokes' rink who lost by just four shots. Overall Eardisland won four matches more than were lost throughout the season.
