SOCIAL WHIST DRIVE - The last of the monthly whist drives was held at the New Strand on December 19. There was a record attendance and prizes were won by Sue Holdaway, Irene Hills, Graham Hammonds, Mary Gates, Anne Preece and Rose Howells.

Thanks are due to the Cardwell family for hosting the whist drives and to Rona and Phillip Jenkins for successfully running them. At the end of the evening Phillip, who has acted as MC for the series, thanked players for their support and wished everyone a happy Christmas. The next event will be January 30 starting at 7.45pm.
