SOCIAL WHIST - At the first of two whist drives in March, prizewinners were Betty Lane, Sue Holdaway, Mary Gates, Peggy Lloyd and Margaret Kerrigan. The next will be on March 29, with play commencing at 7.45pm.
CHURCH - It is planned to hold a Lent lunch in the church on March 20 at 12.30pm. The meal will consist of various soups followed by cheese, fruit and biscuits.The charge for the meal will be £3, with any profit being made to be given to support the Huwe school in Tanzania. On March 20, there will be a coffee morning and cake sale in the church. This event has proved to be very popular in the past, so it is hoped this will continue. Donations of cakes, scones etc, will be very welcome.
With Easter fast approaching, anyone who would like to make a donation towards the cost of lilies for decorating the church at this important festival, is asked to contact Liz, Margaret or Ev.
GROUP PARISH COUNCIL - The parish clerk is leaving this important post this month, so the council requires someone to fill the vacancy. The next council meeting will be at 7.30pm on Monday and the agenda can be found on the noticeboards and at eardisley-church-heritge.co.uk.
