BIG BREAKFAST - There will be a fund-raising event for the village church on Saturday from 8am to 1pm. A wide variety of breakfasts and beverages will be on offer.

Eardisland TWINNING ASSOCIATION - The committee wishes to extend its grateful thanks to all those who supported the coffee morning on February 27 and made the event both very enjoyable and successful. Monies raised will fund the next visit of our French friends to Eardisland.

100 CLUB - The draw for February was as follows: first Chris Wolland, second Joyce Sheffield, third Barbara Lloyd, fourth John Edwards. Call Serena Askew on 01544 388637 to join the club, which raises funds for St Mary’s Church.

NEW RECTOR - Rev Dr Robert Taylor has been appointed as rector of Kingsland, Eardisland, Aymestry and Leinthall Earles and the induction service will take place at Kingsland on Wednesday at 7.30pm.

FLORAL DEMONSTRATION - The theme of Jewels in the Crown will be chosen by Beryl Griffiths when she presents a floral demonstration in Eardisland Village Hall on March 24 at 7.30pm. Doors open at 6.30pm.

Tickets, £7, are available from Esther Simpson on 01544 388641 or Wendy Priday on 388570. Tickets include a glass of wine and nibbles. There will also be a raffle HISTORY GROUP - The meeting on Monday, in the village hall at 7.30pm, will welcome Duncan James, a specialist in historic buildings research who has agreed to come and talk about the historic fabric of medieval and postmedieval buildings in Weobley with reference to Pembridge and Eardisland.

Refreshments will be available in the interval. There is no charge but a donation would be very welcome.
