CHURCH - This year, Women’s World Day of Prayer on March 5, will be held in the Eardisley Methodist Church. Lent and Easter begin with the Procession of the Cross, starting on Sunday at St Mary Magdalene Church. Walkers are invited to assemble there at 2pm and will walk to Winforton. The following Sunday, March 7, the assembly will be at Winforton for the walk to Whitney.
On March 14, walkers will meet at Whitney, walk to Brilley and join in a family service for Mothering Sunday.
On March 21, walkers will assemble at Brilley at 2pm, and proceed to Michaelchurch. On Palm Sunday, March 28, the assembly will be at Michaelchurch at 2pm for the walk to Bollingham. In Holy Week, on March 29, the assembly is at 2pm at Bollingham to start the walk to Almeley.
On March 30, once again at 2pm, walkers will take the route to Kinnersley. On March 31, starting at 2pm, walkers will leave Kinnersley for Eardisley. The last stage of the walks will be on Good Friday, April 2, with walkers meeting at Eardisley Church at 2pm for the 3pm service at St Mary's Church, Almeley.
On Easter Day, April 4, at 9.30am, there will be an extended service at Eardisley Church, and at 11am there will be a service with Holy Communion at Almeley Church.
