DORSTONE PLAYING FIELD QUIZ - The fourth annual trophy quiz is about to puzzle us all again. Pat Hammond and her team are about to wipe the dust off the trophy and hopefully remember to bring it back to Dorstone Village Hall on Friday, November 27, in time for another epic battle. Three local families are all desperate either to regain or actually win the trophy, while others are quite keen to end up in the top half of the tables. The rest are just there for the beer and the excellent food. This time, there’s a change in the culinary stakes as Bill in The Pandy will be cooking local Gwatkin sausages and Goodwin potatoes to serve up piping hot in the hall. So put the date in your diaries. Four people per table, arrange your own teams or turn up on the night and create your own then. Tickets available at the door from Dorstone Front Room or by calling 01981 550262. Price £8 to include supper. The bar will be open from 7pm and the quiz starts at 7.30pm sharp.
