SUCCESSFUL EVENT - A day of jacket potato lunches, face painting, raffles, a balloon race and other activities at Cedar Hall raised more than £1,500 for Midlands Air Ambulance. The event was organised by Jenny Boden and her daughter Samantha. Jenny had asked local businesses to donate £30 each to sponsor the event, so that all the money raised from balloon sales and takings on the day could go to the charity. The balloon race got off to a good start, as within hours of the balloons heading south eastwards they had been found in Gloucester, Basingstoke, Warnford in Hampshire and various locations in France. Results of the race with prizes for the ones that have travelled the greatest distance will be announced on April 21, at the Cedar Hall when a presention will be made to the Midlands Air Ambulance. It’s not to late to make a donation to this very good cause; to do so, call Jenny on 07837 095850 or email email@example.com.
