Generous support at Dilwyn Cedar Hall on Saturday morning raised £2,200 for Therapy Resources in the Cantilupe Ward at the Stonebow Unit, Hereford. The event, attended by Her Right Worshipful the Mayor of Hereford Councillor Mrs Julie Woodward and consort, Mr Andrew Woodward, was the inspiration of Dilwyn resident Jillian Okell who works as an Occupational Therapist Assistant in the ward. The original idea of a village coffee morning expanded to include stalls selling various wares and providing information on the work of the Stonebow Unit and the refurbishment plans that will take place in 2012. There was also a well supported raffle and an auction conducted by an “on form” Richard Hall from Arrow Mill whose humour encouraged the bidding.
