FLICKS IN THE STICKS - As part of the Borderlines Film Festival programme, the film Up (certificate U) will be shown in Cedar Hall on March 5, at 7.30pm. This is an award-winning cartoon for all ages. Grumpy old widower Carl ties helium balloons to his house to avoid being sent to an old people’s home. He flies off to South America accompanied by a cute eight-year-old stowaway in a delightful combination of wry humour, deft characterisation and adventure.
