Credenhill Canter

10:56am Thursday 16th August 2012

Credenhill CANTER - The organising committee of the Credenhill Canter agreed wholeheartedly with promoting the Olympic and Paralympic theme at the event on the afternoon of bank holiday Monday, August 26. People are being asked to bring along their Union flags to celebrate Britain's achievements in the Olympics and to wish every success to our Paralympic team the following week. The local runners will be trying to raise as much money as possible towards the Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) and hopefully they will be seen off and welcomed back by a host of waving union flags. As well as runners volunteers are still needed to act as marshalls manning the route and directing runners, as well as helping out with events in the area surrounding the community centre and the Roman Park. Further information can be obtained from Ellen Moore on 01432 760600 or by email on credenhill socialclub@gmx.co.uk.

Credenhill Canter

10:42am Thursday 9th August 2012

CANTER - The organising committee for the Credenhill Canter will meet again on Monday, and the following Mondays at 8pm, to progress plans for events in and around Credenhill on the afternoon of August 26. A number of donations have been received from various organisations, and a separate bank account has now been set up just for the Credenhill Canter, so that cheques and donations can be made out directly to the cause. There seems to be a lot of support for the special care baby unit SCBU. Volunteers to help out on the day are still needed, along with as many runners and other participants as possible. For information, contact Ellen Moore on 01432 760499 or email credenhillsocialclub@ gmx.co.uk, or Ian Lancaster on 07754 056054 or lancaster773@btinternet.com .
