PARISH PLAN - In spite of the low spirits induced by the late spring, Clehonger residents have continued to work hard on the Parish Plan, and are hoping by mid-summer to have produced a questionnaire to find out the views of all the village on what they want for the future of the parish. The playing field group has had two sets of plans for improvement and is awaiting another two. Once a clear choice of design and quote is possible it will be embarking on fund-raising through grants and local efforts.

TUESDAY CLUB - Meets at the village hall, Birch Hill Road, Clehonger each Tuesday from 3.30pm to 5pm. New members are very welcome, there will be a charge of £1.50 per meeting to cover tea/coffee/biscuits etc.

PARISH PLAN - Work on the parish plan continues into 2013. The playing field focus group undertook a field trip around local playing areas on January 4 and admired a variety of play equipment. It is now working on a design brief to discuss with potential contractors. The group is keen that the playing fields, which are very much in need of improvement, become a ‘village green’, attracting people of all ages. A meeting of the housing focus group on January 16 on the first draft for questions to ask residents about views on housing development agreed to invite speakers from Herefordshire Council and other ‘expert witnesses’. Future meetings are planned as follows: Steering group, January 30 and February 27; playing field focus group, February 11; housing focus group, February 7; transport focus group, February 6. VILLAGE HALL - Christmas bingo at the village hall on November 23 was well attended and raised £203 towards village hall funds.

COUNCIL - Clehonger Parish Council discussed local planning applications, including Home Farm, and also potential routes for the Rotherwas Link Road. The parish plan was said to be progressing, with further meetings generating more ideas. The opportunity is still available for people to join in and contribute to the plan.

PARISH PLAN - Progress on the parish plan continues. The first meeting of the focus group about the playing field was held on November 1, as it had been agreed that this was the most urgent matter to consider. It was a lively and successful meeting, with great enthusism for working together to achieve results. A short questionaire has been delivered around the village to seek more detailed ideas and comments, and on November 18 between 2-4pm at Innesfield, various designs and information about equipment will be on display for people to see and comment upon. The next meeting of the parish plan steering group is today (Thursday) at 7.30pm at Innesfield. All Clehonger residents are are welcome to come along. The group is are hoping soon to set up focus groups on housing and transport.

COUNCIL - At the last meeting of Clehonger Parish Council, held on September 13, there were seven councillors, one ward councillor, one police CSO and 14 members of the public present. There had been some further detail advised to one planning application.
