SERVICES - On Sunday, Family Praise is at 11.30am in Castle Frome Church. Bring a picture of a celebration you have been connected with. Refreshments will be served at the end. On Sunday, February 26, there is a service at 8.30am.

PCC - There will be a PCC meeting on January 24 at 7.30pm at Hill Farm. The fundraising committee has lots of good social events to enjoy in the coming months so watch this space.

VILLAGE EVENTS - The concert was great fun and thanks go to everyone who attended the event and supported the cake stall (both bakers and buyers) which was a huge success.

CHURCH - The church has a cake stall at the Bishops Frome Christmas Fair, 10am to 1pm on Saturday. Lots of cakes are needed so call Meg on 01531 640129 or Pat on 640438 if you can help. On Sunday everyone is invited to an Advent service at 4pm at the church when pupils from Bosbury School will join the congregation with voices and instruments.

CHURCH - A display of knitted scarecrows visited the harvest festival, alongside stunning flower arrangements. Thanks go to everyone who helped and for the supper at Church House, hosted by Hilary and Ian. The next pause for thought will be next Thursday, November 10, at Grove Cottage, the home of Pat and Eddie. The family remembrance service is on November 13, at 10.30am. For the concert in the church on November 19, at 7pm, the title this year is Best of British, with songs from British films and some of the best words from British authors and poets.

Rounders tournament in Castle Frome

ON June 24 the annual rounders tournament will be held. This is a fun event, usually with four teams competing and a prize for the best player of the night. Perhaps a team can be put forward to the Frome Valley rounders tournament in July. Hot dogs and burgers etc will be on sale at the end of the tournament and there will be the usual raffle. Do come along as a player or spectator. It's always an entertaining evening. More details from Louise Manning on 01531 640821.

LENT LUNCH - Thanks go to everyone who supported the first Lent lunch in Bishops Frome Village Centre. A hugely successful occasion, it raised £238 for Frankwater.
