Bodenham gardening club, flicks in the sticks, council and rehearsal

GARDENING CLUB - The club will meet in the parish hall at 7.30pm on Tuesday. Gest speaker Roger Umpleby will be talking about the kitchen garden. A sales table, raffle and excellent refreshments are available. New members are always welcome.

FLICKS IN THE STICKS - At Bodenham Parish Hall March 9 see The Debt (15), in which Helen Mirren stars as an ex-Mossad agent torn between her duty to her country, to her ex-husband, to her daughter and to her excolleague and love of her life. Doors open at 7pm, the film starts at 7.30pm. Admission is £4 on the door. Refreshments are available during the Interval.

COUNCIL - Bodenham Parish Council meets at Siward James on Monday at 7.30pm. Any matters to be raised should be referred to parish clerk Chris Smith on 01568 797132 or at fork.lightning@gmail.com.

REHEARSAL - Bodenham Players and Hereford Players will be putting on a dress rehearsal of a comedy play, Her Grace Will be Here, by Arthur Lovegrove and In the Blinking of an Eye, a comi-tragic play by Jeremy Hylton Davies, on Sunday, at 2.30pm in Bodenham Parish Hall. Entrance will be by donation. Lights refreshments will be served in the interval and there will be a raffle. After expenses any surplus monies will go to St Michael’s Hospice and towards the purchasing of stage curtains for the parish hall. This dress rehearsal prepares the players for the Hereford Drama Festival which begins on March 15.
