Bodenham flicks in sticks, fire, parish council meeting, leisure club and Romania support group

ROMANIA SUPPORT GROUP - On Thursday, January 12, there will be a Knit-In at 14 Brockington Road from 2pm to 4pm.

Everyone is welcome. Anyone who can’t come, but who would like to knit or crochet at home, can be supplied with wool. Please contact Pat Horrigan on 797044 if you have any unwanted rug or knitting wool.

LEISURE CLUB - The first meeting for 2012 is at 2.30pm on Monday in the Parish Hall and will feature a talk on carers by Margaret James. At this meeting the £10 annual subscription will be due and names will be taken to be given for the lunch to celebrate the club’s 40th birthday on January 23. Visitors are welcome to join meetings for £1 entry or £3 when a lunch is served.

COUNCIL - Bodenham Parish Council meets at the Siward James centre at 7.30pm on Monday. All parishioners are welcome.

FLICKS IN STICKS - The first film for the new year will be Water for Elephants (certificate 12), at Bodenham Parish Hall on Friday, January 13,at 7.30pm. Doors will open at 7pm and the cost remains £4. This is a visually stunning and epic romantic drama, set in the world of a travelling circus and stars Reese Witherspoon and Robert Pattinson.

FIRE - A muck heap caught fire in Bodenham. Two fire crews from Leominster were called to Chapel Road shortly before 9pm last Wednesday (December 28) and used two hose reels to extinguish the flames.
