Bishops Frome and Fromes Hill an evening of carols and vicar's last day

AN EVENING OF CAROLS - An evening of carols, mulled wine and mince pies, in aid of St Mary’s Church will be held at The Chase Inn, Bishop’s Frome, from 8pm Saturday. This is a changed date and changed venue and will also include the grand Christmas draw.

Tickets are available from the village shop and other local businesses.

VICAR’S LAST DAY - The Revd Prebendiary Jane Davies will be leaving the Frome Valley Group of Churches on or about January 29, and will be licensed to serve at St Peter’s Church, Lugwardine, on January 15. On January 8, there will be a farewell buffet lunch at 1pm at the village centre. Anyone wishing to attend, or to contribute towards a gift for Jane, is asked to contact Isabel Spiller at the parish office on 01885 490229.

On February 4, also at the village centre, there will be a vacancy consultation, where parishioners can reflect on the needs of local churches and communities. This is a standard part of the process for appointing a new vicar, and everyone is invited to take an active part.
