LEINTHALL QUARRY - A number of parishioners attended the recent parish council meeting to hear Colin Doyley, head of planning at quarry owner Breedon Aggregates, explain new planning applications for the site. He said the firm is keen to liase with the local community and explained the proposals were for a revised scheme of working which does not involve any plans for extension.

GAMES NIGHT - In the village hall on Saturday at 7pm enjoy an evening of good old fashioned fun playing the kind of pub games that the local does not provide any more. £5 on the door will include a soup and sweet supper.

CHURCH - There will be a service of Holy Communion at Aymestrey Church on Sunday at 9.30am QUIZ - On Friday, March 16, in Aymestrey Village Hall, refreshments will be available but contestants are welcome to bring their own alcohol. Entrance £5 per team of up to four members. Start time 8pm prompt.
