Aymestrey and Leinthall Earls nature trust, council meeting, comedy and games

NATURE TRUST - The trust meets tonight (Thursday) at 7.30pm in Aymestrey Village Hall when William Maler will give a talk on The Birds of Herefordshire.

COUNCIL - Aymestrey Parish Council meets on Wednesday at 8pm when the proposed Diamond Jubilee celebrations will be discussed.

Coun Heather Yesson will give members feedback from the neighbourhood planning meeting she attended recently. Colin Doyley from Breedon Aggregates will also attend to explain proposed changes at Leinthall Earls quarry. Parishioners are reminded that council meetings are open for anyone to attend and have their say about local matters.

COMEDY - Comedian Andy Oakley makes a return visit to Aymestrey Village Hall on March 3. Andy is the regular comedian at the Babbacombe Theatre in Devon and last year gave the Aymestrey audience 100 per centplus with his comedy and singing. Tickets, £10, are selling fast and include a ploughman’s supper and pudding. There will be a licensed bar and a prize draw. Doors open at 7pm for a prompt 7.30pm start.
