GRAND CHRISTMAS QUIZ - The final quiz of the year takes place in Aymestrey Village Hall tomorrow (Friday). Joe and Ruth Scamp will be the quizmasters this time and in keeping with the Christmas theme, mince pies will be served during the interval.

Contestants are welcome to bring their own alcoholic refreshments if they wish. As usual the charge for teams of up to four persons is £5. Start time is 8pm prompt.

CHURCH SERVICES - The annual Christingle Service will be held at St Andrews Church, Leinthall Earls, Sunday at 2pm (note new start time).

There will be a carol service with music and readings at St John the Baptist and St Alkmund Church, Aymestrey on Wednesday, starting at 6.30pm. The service will be followed by mulled wine and mince pies.

The Christmas Day service at Leinthall Earls will be Holy Communion at 8am and a family service of Holy Communion will be held at 11am.
