Lenthall Earls and Aymestrey churches hold an autumn fair

AUTUMN FAIR - The fair in aid of Leinthall Earls and Aymestrey churches is in the village hall on Saturday at 2pm. A request is made for items for auction, bric-a -brac, toys, produce etc to be brought to the village hall tomorrow morning (Friday). Entry is 50p (under-16s free). NOSTALGIA NIGHT - Chris and Sandra, the Happy Wanderers, are a first for Aymestrey Village Hall and on November 12 from 7pm will provide an evening of nostalgia with songs, comedy and chat. There will be a licensed bar and a raffle. Tickets (including ploughman’s supper and pudding) are £10, available from Helen Roberts on 01568 770486 and Ruth Scamp on 709031.

CHURCHES - Holy Communion will be held at Aymestrey on November 6 at 11am. A service of remembrance will be held at Kingsland on November 13 at 11am.

FASHION SHOW - An autumn and winter fashion show will be held on November 17 at the Edinburgh Woollen Mill, Corve Street, Ludlow, in aid of Aymestrey Village Hall extension fund. There will be ladies’ and gents’ clothing, the store provides a glass of wine or juice and biscuits and there will also a raffle. Tickets are £5 and entitle you 20 per cent off anything purchased on the evening.

PUB NIGHT - Another pub night will be held in the village hall on November 26, from 7pm, with old fashioned games such as dart, quoits, bar billiards and dominoes, plus soup and puddings to enjoy. Admission will be £5 (on the door).

VEGETABLES - Every Tuesday, Lane Cottage Produce vegetable van is at Aymestrey Village Hall from 10am to 11.30am and at Leinthall Earls Village Green, noon to 1.30pm.
