PARISH COUNCIL - The next meeting is in the village hall on February 9 at 7.30pm. The agenda is on the Almeley website. The public are very welcome at these meetings.

VILLAGE HALL - A Chinese auction was held on January 21. This was a very enjoyable event, so it was a pity it was not better supported.

The next village lunch is on Sunday and bookings are essential. A coffee morning will be held in the hall on February 11, 10am until noon, with a bring-and-buy and a raffle, in aid of the Children’s Society.

FLICKS IN STICKS - Tonight (Thursday) at 7.30pm in the village hall. The film is Water for Elephants (12A) with Reese Witherspoon and Robert Pattinson. Doors open at 7.15pm, bar available, cabaret seating.
