MOVES are in hand to put a buzz into Bromyard.

A small but energetic group of Bromyard people is launching initiatives to bring visitors and business customers to the town.

The group, which includes two town councillors, plans a raft of events designed to attract attention and benefit the local community by bringing in extra trade.

Group spokesman Councillor Gary Swinford said: “We started with the simple idea that far too many people drive straight past Bromyard instead of stopping off.

“We’ll be raising awareness of what Bromyard has to offer with its excellent shops, cafes, hotels and leisure facilities, and we’ve already begun working on events and ideas to draw visitors here.

“Detailed plans are still under wraps but we’re taking action already to involve other local people. We want success and prosperity for the town.”
