A FORMULA 1 hopeful from Bromyard is back on the road after being grilled on national television.

Motorsport fanatic, Robert Hall, has left The Dragon's Den empty-handed.

Robert, aged 18, offered to give up 40% of his future earnings in return for a £50,000 sponsorship deal.

But while his drive impressed Peter Jones, the former Tenbury High School student failed to ignite the group’s interest.

Robert currently drives in the Formula Ford Championship, and pleaded for funds to help himself up the motorsport ladder.

Nonetheless, he has a bright future in the sport - he was the youngest recipient of the Young Drive of the Year award, and finished second last year at the Castle Coombe circuit.

Robert, who appeared on the BBC2 show with his father, David, called the experience a “once in a lifetime opportunity”.
